Yooka Laylee & Shipwreck Creek. Part Five. Showdown with Capital Bee.

Welcome back!

In Part Four, we were about to be flushed by Capital Bee after he stole the tonic from us. Let's get caught back up.

Being blown off-course through icy caves, and bouncing above the clouds to grab mysterious tonics

When Capital Bee casts us down the pipe, the ride vehicle turns and goes down the pipe backwards and spins around to face forward again at the end. This section is downhill a bit and has projections of rushing water along the walls and ceiling of this cylindrical hall section. When we emerge facing forward we are in some kind of evil factory or industrial lava area run by Capital Bee!

Dun-dun-DUUUNNNN!
Here's the mood music for this room:

It looks like Yooka and Laylee are here and going to try to keep us from being destroyed! We see their silhouette running on top of spinning gears and we observe their shadows hit some kind of switch allowing us to divert our path and escape.

Ride map overview of this sequence. I think this would make a thrilling sequence in a dark ride

Here's the music for the final climactic scenes as we advance towards certain doom!

I can't remember if the camera enemies are actually in the game, or if I came up with them myself for this sequence. Either way, they fit in well with the world and help bridge the gap between the monitor room, and the final encounter.

Map overview of the climax of the ride, where Capital B is about to use the power of the stolen tonic for world domination or economic destruction, or whatever it is that he does.

I really like this section of the ride and I think it would be especially cool to experience it in person. Paired with the music from the game, it creates a great vibe.

Well, we are nearly at the end of this ride experience. I hope you've enjoyed me walking through it with you. Please leave a comment and let me know what you have thought so far.

Are my explanations of the scenes too long winded? Is this all dreadfully dry? Let me know, as I have dozens of rides and themed environments I'll be posting from here on out. This is merely the beginning.

See you all next time as we finish the ride, disembark, and exit through the gift shop.
